Ohio's Bilmuri (yes, sounds like Bill Murray), played their largest show to date at Roadrunner in Boston. It was a complete blast. Lead by former Attack Attack! vocalist Johnny Franck, he started Bilmuri back in 2016. I heard them by accident via spotify radio, and they are one of my favorite bands to come out in the last 10 years. Their show was a blast. They combine punk/emo and hard rock elements, as well as having a killer saxophonist, Gabi Rose. They are serious but yet don't take themselves too seriously either.
Opening the night were singer/songwriter John Harvie with his band and Saugus Massachusetts own Driveways. It was great to see some local Massachusetts talent also on the bill.
