Stabbing Westward visited Brighton Music Hall and were met with the first sold out crowd of the first leg of their Wither Rewired tour, their first tour in 25 years! After originally calling it quits in 2002, the band reformed in 2016 and released their last full length in 2022 called Chasing Ghosts.
If you haven't heard of Stabbing Westward, they are industrial rock fueled with less aggressive vocals. However, don't mistake less aggressive with less passionate, because lead singer and founding member Christopher Hall is certainly passionate about his craft.
Their new album Wither Rewired will be released September 10th, 2026, and it's a reimagining of their 1996 album Wither Blister Burn and Peel. Their set was the reimagining plus a few other hits. It was a great night for SW fans.
The band Priest from Sweden played before Stabbing Westward, one of their members came from the band Ghost, and they kind of match the "faceless" aesthetic with masks. They had their own brand of industrial rock as well.
I hope it won't take another 25 years for Stabbing Westward to tour again but I don't think it will.
