THE NEIGHBOURHOOD SHARE NEW HOLIDAY SINGLE “WHY’D YOU HAVE TO LEAVE”

The Neighbourhood usher in the holidays with “Why’d You Have To Leave,” the wistful new single via Reprise/Warner Records that leans into the sentimentality of the season to highlight a crushing absence. In keeping with the band’s atmospheric storytelling, the lo-fi track wrestles with the question “why’d you have to leave on Christmas eve?  Now every year they laugh & cheer & I feel incomplete.”  Listen to “Why’d You Have To Leave” HERE.

The Neighbourhood have become the first band, and only the third act, to have a song cross 5-Billion streams on Spotify with their 2012 hit “Sweater Weather.” The track has become an autumnal staple and is the #1 Most Playlisted track of all time, appearing on more than 103 million user-created playlists.

The Neighbourhood are on the final leg of The Wourld Tour, their sold-out global arena run which will culminate in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles with two more shows at Kia Forum in early December. The Wourld Tour kicked off earlier this year and saw the band play multiple shows in major cities around the world including London, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and more. In addition to multiple runs in North America and Europe, the tour also took the band to new places like Asia, New Zealand and Australia. The Neighbourhood have recently announced The Wourld Tour II, with dates starting in March 2027. Several dates have already sold-out, including Houston, Montreal, Philadelphia, Florence and Vienna. Additionally, the band have been announced to perform at several prestigious festivals including Innings Festival in Arizona, Lollapalooza Argentina, Lollapalooza Chile, Estéreo Picnic in Colombia, Lollapalooza Brazil, Pinkpop in The Netherlands, Release Athens Music Festival in Greece, INmusic #19 in Croatia, Rock Werchter 2027 in Belgium, Open’er Festival in Poland, NOS Alive! Festival in Portugal and Lollapalooza Berlin (see below for full list of tour dates).

The Neighbourhood is California-based alternative rock band comprised of members Jesse Rutherford, Zach Abels, Brandon Fried, Jeremy Freeman, and Mikey Margott. With five multi-Platinum, six Platinum, and eight Gold certified singles along with two additional Platinum albums, The Neighbourhood has built a legacy of genre-defining work and is poised to begin a compelling new chapter. Their latest album (((((ultraSOUND))))), was released on Warner Records after a 5-year hiatus and met with excitement from fans across the globe.
